Mozart - originally formed in 2003 and were originally named Jago as a
result of an infatuation with TV weathergirl, Becky Jago. They have been labeled
the best unsigned band in the country having 2 world number ones on the prestigious
extraplay.com, and worldwide distribution on a whole string of download sites.
Further radio airplay and their BBC video “Before I’m Gone For Good”,
appearing on TV & Sky brought work performing at a whole bunch of top London
venues but, in their quest for stardom the boys found they needed a unique name,
so they became Hardly Mozart.
There
is a whole new powerful edge to Hardly Mozart's music which compliments their
already legendary song writing. The driving guitars of Wayne Elvin and Yoy Wilkinson,
fueled by the explosive drumbeats of the wonderful Danny Peck is downright infectious.
